DENTAL IMPLANTS
SMILE CONFIDENTLY
WHAT IS A DENTAL IMPLANT?
The use of dental implants has been around for a long time, are commonly used on a daily basis, and are the ideal way to replace missing teeth. Fundamentally a dental implant is a technology we use to replace the missing roots of missing teeth. The modern style of dental implants that Dr. Mitesh Jivan uses, can function in a myriad of ways. A single implant can be used to replace a single tooth. Multiple implants can be used to replace an entire mouth of teeth. Different specialized connectors can be installed to secure a loose fitting denture.
RESTORE FORM AND FUNCTION
Restoring the form and function of missing teeth are critical for health. Teeth breakdown food when you chew. They support your cheeks and give facial fullness. Teeth also stimulate the gum and bones around them to maintain volume around them.
Once teeth are lost we see a cascading effect on the remaining teeth. The remaining teeth are overly stressed, they shift, and become compromised. This often results in premature loss of other teeth from the mouth. The result is a sunken-in look to the face, and a compromised diet because healthy foods are difficult to enjoy.
The good news is dental implants are the best option to mimic natural teeth. Dental implants can support teeth that aid in chewing and maintaining facial fullness. They also stimulate the gum tissue and bone to maintain volume.
Dental implants can be used to replace a single missing tooth, to replace all the lost teeth, and can also be used to help keep dentures in place.
REGAIN CONFIDENCE
Missing teeth not only create an unhealthy physiological dynamic, but they are often detrimental to self image. Sunken in facial features and missing teeth are often have unfavorable associations tied to them. Compensating by not smiling fully or not eating at social gatherings are real problems.
Fortunately there is no need to suffer because there is a solution. Imagine being able to dine with family and friends without hesitation or laughing fully.
FULL MOUTH REHABILITATION
When there are many issues with the teeth, missing teeth, or the bite, we often have to rebuild the form and function of all the teeth to get them back to a balanced state. We refer to this process as a full mouth rehabilitation. This process entails a number of procedures, that fortunately can be provided in one place. From planning to having a healthy, balanced, and beautiful smile.
Step 1
REPLACE MISSING TEETH
Implants are a great way to replace teeth that have been lost. The process of getting a dental implant starts with a thorough consultation. The consultation involves looking at the gums and bony support around the area needing an implant. A 3D xray is taken with our state-of-the-art CBCT scanner, which allows us to analyze important anatomical features under the gum and inside the jaw.
Step 2
DIGITAL PLANNING
New porcelain technologies allow Dr. Mitesh Jivan to make the most natural looking bridges without the use of traditional metals. Dental bridges are needed when missing teeth are present, and the resulting space needs to be closed. By closing the spaces we help to restore the natural appearance of a youthful smile
Step 3
Once everything is planned digitally, Dr. Mitesh Jivan 3D prints a surgical guide in the office and calibrates the treatment process from beginning to end. At your visit the surgical guide speeds up the surgical process because everything has been planned and accounted for at the beginning. This faster process allows for better healing, faster appointment, and more comfort for you.
IMPROVE JAW HEALTH
A healthy jaw is a thing of beauty. Strong jaws are associated with beauty because they give shape to a significant part of our face. When we unintentionally weaken our jaw by removing teeth, we create weak spots and thinning in those areas of our mouth. These weak spots are more at risk to breaking during trauma. As we age this becomes increasingly more concerning.
