My experience at Dr Jivan’s office was excellent from the moment I walked in! I was instantly greeted by Arti who was very friendly as she welcomed me to their practice.  Tiffany walked me back and made me feel super comfortable about the procedure I was having done, which I was very nervous about!  She was very professional and informative helping me to calm my nerves-she is amazing! When I met Dr. Jivan I knew I was in good hands. He explained in detail the procedure and made sure to answer all of my questions before proceeding. Everything went perfectly and I left a very happy patient! The office was spotless and the whole vibe was very soothing and relaxing.  They found a way to incorporate being safe by following covid protocols while still making that human connection, which is so hard to find! On short notice, I called Advanced Park Dental to schedule an appointment to fix a permanent retainer, and luckily they were able to fit me in. Not sure if you know the pain a broken wire can cause, but trust me the sooner its fixed the better. Without any discomfort, he fixed it to satisfaction. Even though I asked a lot of questions and it was late on a Friday, they answered all of them and made me feel comfortable. From the moment I walked into the office, I had a sense that I had chosen the right dentist. I felt at ease right off the bat. I received a tour of the office and was introduced to each of the staff. The office was exceptionally clean! Dr. Jivan reviewed his treatment plan for my chipped tooth in detail, ensuring that I understood the process. He was patient and considerate, answering each of my questions. Dr. Jivan’s goal is to save teeth, when possible, and therefore treats with a conservative approach; something I value, as I want to keep my own teeth! This was the very best experience I have ever had at a dental office and the visit was completed with a fantastic result. I have found THE dentist and dental office for me and my family. This is a review for cosmetic work I had done this week by Dr. Jivan. A little backstory: I am in my early 20’s now but had a bike accident when I was 8-9 that chipped my front two teeth, requiring root canals in both teeth and fixated with dental bonding. I had braces for a couple years after that but never liked how my teeth looked because of the front two and unfortunately I stopped maintaining my teeth, and as an adult I am paying for it. I’ve had many dentists but never could commit on cosmetic work. The old bonding material was nearly 15 years old (only supposed to last 3-5) so I went for a few consultations. The first two dentists were specifically cosmetic dentists, not family practices. They both said that I needed crowns since the teeth had root canals. They also wanted to do more work to the surrounding teeth to help them match better. I couldn’t commit to stripping my teeth to nubs in my early 20’s and paying upwards of 10k for it so I moved on. I decided to see Dr. Jivan after reading good reviews. From the second I walked in, Arti and Claudia were both so welcoming and kind. I didn’t wait but maybe 3 minutes before Dr. Jivan came in and talked to me. To my surprise he thought I was too young for permanent veneers/crowns and since my front teeth are not chewing teeth (and still in decent shape),  crowns are not necessary. Fast forward a couple weeks: Yesterday I got 10 composite (resin) veneers/bonding put on my top teeth. My only complaints are I wish he went over the color with me beforehand as well as how they affect my natural teeth. I also wished he made sure I didn’t need any fillings etc beforehand. I never got any X-rays there but I’m sure I have something that needs filling. They do have to use an etching acid which can harm the enamel and had I known that I may have opted to only do the central 4 that really gave me issues. After getting them done I immediately thought they looked WAY too big. I came home and my boyfriend and friend agreed. I cried a lot that night thinking I didn’t look anything like myself anymore and Arti called me the following morning to bring me in within an hour to his Mount Dora office to get it fixed. To be clear, it wasn’t a “bad” smile, it just was so clearly not me/mine. I took my boyfriend to this visit and Dr. Jivan sat and edited my central veneers to make them more “imperfect” if you will (what I wanted). He insured me that the composite veneers are reversible, they just need to be removed carefully and meticulously to get all the resin off. He explained how he would go about that procedure if/when I decide to pursue it. I don’t think I’ll ever want crowns/porcelain veneers so it was important that I can go back to my regular teeth. Arti and Dr. Jivan called me this AM to again go over all of my concerns. He assured me that my questions are totally valid and let me know I could call him anytime even over the holiday break. All in all, he is a wonderful, calm, and organized dentist with an amazing team to match! He has an amazing bedside manner and is humble in his skills. I am SUPER happy with my new smile even though I’m taking some time to grow into it. Its a big change for anyone to see such a fundamental different in their looks. If you’re looking for COSMETIC work (or standard care too), he is a conservative dentist who won’t push you into doing something super permanent.
