By taking the records of your teeth, it is possible to simulate all the possible tooth movements we would like to accomplish, as well as the amount of time it will take to achieve.

GUM HEALTH

Well aligned teeth have a multitude of benefits. One of the most overlooked is the benefit to gum health. Crowded teeth create tricky areas to clean. These areas are strongholds for bacteria and tartar to form formidable colonies. Difficult to clean areas are frequently responsible for bad breath and creating areas of inflammation and gum disease.
When the teeth are nicely aligned. It’s possible for your tongue and cheeks to naturally cleanse and displace food particles that would otherwise be stuck. Letting nature work optimally improves gum health.

RETAINERS

Retainers are an essential part of maintaining the alignment of your teeth. Dr. Mitesh Jivan always prescribes orthodontic retainers after orthodontic treatment is completed. There are many styles and types of retainers that we can perform in-office.

Removable retainers are the most commonly used retainer. The advantage of this style of retainer is that you can easily floss and cleanse. The primary disadvantage of this retainer is that you have to clean it and replace them in 2 year increments.

Fixed retainers work great. They are permanently secured onto the backs of your lower teeth. With this retainer, there is no need to worry about taking them in and out, but flossing can be more challenging.
